Bybit Unveils Revamped App to Power the Next Billion Crypto Users

Bybit, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched a major update to its mobile app as part of its #IMakeIt rebranding initiative. The redesign introduces a high-contrast interface, simplified navigation, and personalized features aimed at enhancing user experience for both novice and seasoned traders.

The update includes Bybit Lite, a beginner-friendly mode offering one-click trading for major assets like Bitcoin (BTC) and ethereum (ETH), along with step-by-step guidance. Users can toggle between Lite and Pro modes while maintaining access to promotions, including a $100 welcome bonus and earning opportunities up to $5,000.

The platform's refreshed design aligns with its new "I Make It Possible" branding, emphasizing intuitive functionality. This strategic MOVE positions Bybit to capture broader adoption as cryptocurrency trading becomes increasingly mainstream.

Bybit Pursues MiFID License for EU Derivatives, Phases Out MT5 for In-House TraFi

Bybit CEO Ben Zhou announced the exchange's application for a MiFID II license in the European Union during a live-streamed keynote. The license would enable Bybit to offer regulated derivatives products, including futures and options, to European clients, expanding beyond its current MiCA registration which only covers spot crypto trading. "We are working on our MiFID license, meaning hopefully within six months we’ll present derivative trading products in the EU, all compliant," Zhou said.

Bybit has discontinued support for MetaTrader 5, directing users to its proprietary TraFi 5 platform. A company representative stated, "Our TraFi 5 is now live on your Bybit app—no more MT5. We’re the first major exchange to launch TraFi access directly in-app. All commodities, CFDs, and stocks are live via CFDs." This shift consolidates multi-asset trading under one roof, offering lower fees and tighter integration while reducing reliance on third-party platforms.

The exchange has already launched Bybit.EU to comply with MiCA regulations and plans to introduce localized payment solutions and expand derivatives services across Europe, the UAE, and India.
